JEWAR AIRPORT

  •  With the announcement of an international airport at Jewar then surrounding area will be at par with Gurgaon Jewar airport has been included in the world's 100 strategic global infrastructure projects for the year 2020. Jewar International Airport or Noida Airport is a proposed airport to be constructed in Jewar (56 kilometres (35 mi) from Noida) in Gautam Budh Nagar district of Uttar Pradesh

  •  With six runways, it will be India's largest and among the world's largest airports. The airport is to be developed on a Public Private Partnership model (PPP).[3] The proposed plan is to build a two runway airport by 2022-23 and then, at a future date, to extend it to a 7200-acre 6-runway airport.

  •  The airport is slated to be spread over a total of 5,000 hectares, of which 1,334 hectares have already been acquired Swiss firm Zurich Airport International AG had in November 2019 emerged as the highest bidder for the Jewar airport project, outbidding competitors like Adani Enterprises, DIAL and Anchorage Infrastructure Investments Holding.

  •  Once completed, the Jewar airport will be Asia's largest, according to a statement by Uttar Pradesh chief minister Yogi Adityanath.
